In order to develop a gender-responsive and inclusive institution, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng San Pablo (PLSP) Center for Gender and Development assesses the best practices of the university鈥檚 Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) on May 25, 2023.
Officials and staff of the PLSP headed by their President, Dr. Sigfredo C. Adaja, together with acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Lorena E. Bautista, and acting Vice President for Administration Planning and Finance Mr. Mark Francis P. Donato, were warmly welcomed by University President, Dr Hernando D. Robles and GADRC Director, Dr. Susan G. Tan.
Dr. Robles expressed his gratitude to PLSP delegates for visiting the university and GADRC. He also shared that the university had attended the SEAMEO RIHED seminars held by Oxford University and it has progressed to Gender Equality, Diversity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). He also added that the university’s GADRC has been recognized by the CALABARZON Regional Development Council (RDC) as the Most Outstanding State University GAD Implementer in the region for four (4) years in a row.
An audio-visual presentation (AVP) was presented to the PLSP delegates to give them an overview CvSU鈥檚 humble beginnings. Ms. Raecel A. Estebat, In-Charge of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation, imparted the GADRC’s best practices through the four (4) entry points of the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (policy, people, enabling mechanisms, and programs, activities, and projects). She also noted that the GADRC’s four-time award was made possible by the top management’s unwavering support for the GADRC’s efforts to mainstream gender and development. (MCPSioco)
